Monday, August 8th is the official start of the local High School Cross Country season and the Colorado Tap House wants to support cross country programs that are near and dear to us.
We have selected a beer from a local brewery for each program and starting now through the end of Labor Day weekend (Monday 09/05) we will donate $2 for each pint sold to the corresponding program.
Green Mountain High School
Green Mountain Beer Company - Summer Honey Lager
For nearly 15 years, Colorado Tap House Owner Erik Z. (a.k.a., Coach LaZer Z) has been helping coach the cross country team and enjoys being part of Ramnation and the XC RAMily.
Golden High School
Golden City Brewery – Legendary Red
Colorado Tap House Owner, Jen Z. graduated from Golden high school and while the Golden and Green Mountain are fierce competitors on the course, the squads are certainly friends all other times.
Broomfield High School
4 Noses Brewing Company– ‘bout Damn Time
Erik Z. graduated from Broomfield high school and was part of the ’85 state cross country qualifying team (miss ya Pete). Once an Eagle always and Eagle.
Just for fun, we will have some poster boards up by our beer wall sign where cross country alumni from these programs can sign their names and the years they ran!
Good luck to not only these programs, but all the local cross-country teams! Hope to see you at State.
